Active in the community, James has served as a board member of Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada and the Young Alumni Association of the University of Nevada Reno, as well as membership in the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), Society of Office and Industrial Realtors (SIOR), Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), Western Industrial NV (WIN), National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), a founding member of the Reno/Tahoe Young Professionals Network (Reno/Tahoe YPN), and the Leadership Reno-Sparks Program Class of 2007.
